Rising hyperpop artist Lightningboy returns with a sonic switch-up in the form of new single "Powerade".
Meet Lighteningboy, the latest rising artist making waves across the hyperpop scene. Back with a new single, “Powerade”, he continues the work done under his previous alias Teddy Corsica, but offers his fans something a little different.
Having broken into the scene at 18, Lighteningboy’s strong aesthetic saw him seize modelling opportunities for the likes of Vetements, Vogue and Valentino. Rapidly growing a social media following, he quickly gained over 11K followers on Instagram while releasing tracks such as “Feel Me Dying”.
New track “Powerade” marks a period of rebirth for Lighteningboy. Chaotic and trap-inspired, the single represents a sonic shift. Discussing the release, he explains: “The track is about me falling in love with someone and feeling like you’re willing to do anything to make it work but also understanding that addiction and the temptations of the world are too much to make it a reality and that as much as I wish I was the right person for her I’m not.”
