Bass music label UKF celebrates its 100th release with "Run” by French duo Dirtyphonics.
One of bass music’s most iconic record labels, UKF has developed from a YouTube channel and into a global entity. The platform, which helped the rise of artists such as Sub Focus and Macky Gee, continues to elevate genres like drum and bass to new levels. Celebrating its milestone, 100th release, UKF today announced that French legends Dirtyphonics would return to the platform with their latest single “Run”.
UKF’s circular logo quickly became synonymous with teenage house parties and YouTube rabbit holes. Its fluorescent green colour and bold lettering is enshrined in drum and bass’s culture and continues to shape its sonic landscape. Ground breaking releases from the likes of Mefjus, Wilkinson and Hybrid Minds reinforced its tastemaker status, and with global live events selling out instantly, its spot at the top will be hard for anyone to shift.
“Run” is the label’s 100th release. A powerful piece of drum and bass, the single comes over a decade after Dirtyphonics’ first release to the channel. On the milestone, founder Luke Hood says “I’m delighted that we are now 100 releases in. It’s even more special to have an artist we promoted in some of the first months of the brand’s existence”.
