Saweetie closed out Complex NTWRK and Verizon’s Concert in the City at NeueHouse Hollywood with a high-energy set, live band, and crowd-favourite hits for an unforgettable night.
Saweetie brought the heat to NeueHouse Hollywood’s rooftop, closing out Complex NTWRK and Verizon’s Concert in the City series with an unforgettable performance. Fans lined up around the block for the chance to see the multi-platinum rapper take the stage, and she didn’t disappoint, delivering hit after hit against the glittering LA skyline.
Backed by her multi-piece band, The Yee Section – complete with a harpist and flutist – she kicked off the set with ‘Hot Boy’ from her Icy EP. “Where my day-one Icy Girls and Icy Boys at?” she called out, setting the tone for a night of high-energy anthems, including ‘Back to the Streets’, ‘The Way’, and ‘Richtivities’. She also took a moment to thank her band and recent collaborator LaRussell, crediting her team for pushing her forward both personally and professionally.
Dressed in platinum blonde hair, a custom baby blue jersey, and Y2K-inspired jeans, Saweetie embodied effortless glamour as she moved through live reinterpretations of her biggest tracks. A stripped-back performance of ‘Icy’ saw her shouting out friends and family in the crowd, while ‘Best Friend’ – performed solo – had the audience celebrating their own ride-or-dies.
