ATW Records founders Interplanetary Criminal and Main Phase select us 10 ultimate DJ set closers, ahead of their shows in New York and Toronto next month.
'Inner Smile' by Texas
No words needed, best song ever?
'You Don't Know Me’ by Armand Van Helden & Duane Harden
House anthem with the best sing-along vocals. Proper hands in the air tune. Love cueing this in with the intro's notorious orchestral hits and breakbeats.
'100%' by Interplanetary Criminal & Main Phase
Singalong ATW for the crowds that deserve it.
'Bad Boy (Smooth Mix)' by DJ Gunshot
Smoothest intro and the hardest jungle drop. Both mixes are great but there’s something about that dred bass in the smooth mix that gets me every time.
'Lady Science (NYC Sunrise)' by Soul Capsule
Title in brackets says it all, this is the sun rising over the city. Last tune to send the ravers to bed. House grooves with simple but effective melody. This tune is the embodiment of everything that’s so sick about proper deep house music.
'Seven Days To The Hour' by NaughtyNick
Soulful, organ house from Rhythm Traxx. A personal favourite from the 2004 bassline era. Daytime settings closer.
'Hard' by Breakage
Throwing the decks across the room n that.
'Hold You (Hold Yuh)' by Gyptian
This song closed the Barbarella Outlook Festival in 2023; the last track at 6 am in the morning sun... beautiful. The UK can't resist this one.
'Take Me Away (Slipmatt Remix)' by JIMMY J & CRU-L-T
Rowdy and beautiful at the same time. Taking it up to 170 BPM is always a treat.
'Someday 2005' by Bad Behaviour
Tasteful donk from the dons. Vocals will make tears be shed.
