Afro Fusion singer Gyakie exclusively selects 10Trax for Notion that are destined to be played on repeat.

Jackline Acheampong, aka Gyakie, grew up in Kumasi-Ghana during a musical era where Soul Music reigned with influential artists such as Asa, Efya, Burna Boy and Rihanna. It was only in early 2019 where the 22-year-old’s music career began when she was a student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology studying International Business.

A truly emotive and transparent singer-songwriter, Gyakie shared her debut EP “SEED” earlier this year, garnering over 11 million cumulative streams across all platforms and has recently released a remix of her standout hit “Forever” with Omah Lay. Mixing contemporary sounds and artistic homages, influenced by her father, the well-known Highlife musician Nana Acheampong, Gyakie’s soulful music has led to her becoming a leading female voice in African music.

Now, Gyakie exclusively picks 10Trax that will get you on your feet. Jump in!

"Need Me" by Gyakie

"Need Me is a love song. This song goes out to people that are willing to sacrifice everything for the people they love. The people that are always available for the ones they love. This song is powerful, it’s a song for the heart and the message that is being sent out is that “love is a beautiful thing, and if you happen to find love, enjoy the most out of it” I’m very excited about this release because it’s been a year since i dropped music and i know my fans have been yearning for it. It’s finally here and i believe it’s going to be another global wave!"
