Ahead of the release of her single 'Mr. Casual', Jazzie Young shares her 10 go-to songs for the summer.

'catch these fists' by Wet Leg

I’ve been a huge fan of Wet Leg since I heard their debut album back in 2022. This song has me really excited for what’s to come.

'Image' by Magdalena Bay

This song changed my brain chemistry. The vocal production is incredible and the melody is such an earworm.

'Cross the Street' by Junior Varsity

This song makes me feel like I’m in an early 2000s movie in the best way. I love listening to it in the car or when I’m on a walk with my dog.

'Basic Being Basic' by Djo

The Crux is one of my favourite albums to come out in recent years, I’ve had it on repeat since April.

'Pop Star' by Coco & Clair Clair

This is just a classic, so cute and so bitchy at the same time.

'Streetwise' by Pretty Sick & xmal

A friend of mine recently turned me onto 'Streetwise' and I’m falling down the rabbit hole. I’m such a fan, and this song is the one that turned me.

'touch tank' by quinnie

I love quinnie so much. She is such a talented songwriter, this is the song that turned me on to her and its one of my favourite songs ever.

'What Was That' by Lorde

Our Lorde and savior is back and I can’t wait for the new album. I love the energy of this song, feels slightly reminiscent of the Melodrama era and I’m keen to hear what the rest of Virgin is like!

'Real Man' by beabadoobee

Bea has so many hits its hard to choose from, but I love this song. It sounds so sweet but it also cuts! The little dance she does live with it is so cute too.

'Sexy Villain' by Remi Wolf

This song makes me feel exactly like the title of the song. It’s lyrics are fun and don’t take themselves too seriously and the music is so playful it just puts you in a right mood.
