Gearing up for their upcoming 'The Hits Tour', JLS talk us through 10 of their favourite throwback tracks from the 2010s.
"Beautiful People" by Chris Brown & Benny Benassi
What a tune. I actually think this record was ahead of its time when it was released because it still sounds fresh today. We as a band loved this song so much that we did our own version of it on tour in 2012. We will never get tired of this one – Marvin
"What About Us" by The Saturdays & Sean Paul
I mean how can I not include the Saturdays in this playlist? This was their first number one back in 2013 and features the legend Sean Paul. We did many shows with the girls back in the day and this song brings back great memories. - Marvin
"Gold Dust" by DJ Fresh
I still play this tune to this day. Timeless drum and bass banger! Vocals from Ms Dynamite of course who absolutely smashed it. Still goes off, and this for sure will get played on our arena tour. - Marvin
"Sorry" by Justin Bieber
This is just a brilliant record. When it came out you couldn’t help but love it - it was definitely a song that we had on repeat. - Aston
"Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd
We all love this song, so much so, that we chose it to play in the arena’s on our last JLS tour – it was our signal backstage for ‘5 mins before stage time’ to get us pumped for the show. - Aston
"Get Lucky" by Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams, Nile Rogers
I loved this record when it came out as it had elements that were reminiscent of that old school funk music sound, that was on heavy rotation in my family home growing up, especially as it featured the great Nile Rogers from the band Chic. - Oritsé
"DJ Got Us Falling In Love" by Usher ft. Pitbull
On our previous tours we’ve had moments where we’ve paid tribute to some of our favourite artists, this Usher tune used to go off in our show. - Oritsé
"Mirrors" by Justin Timberlake
I remember when this tune came out, I was fixated with the melodies, the production and the choreography. I still pull up this tune today - it brings back so many memories of when we got the chance to work with the main choreographer behind JT, the legend that is ‘Marty Kudelka’. Marty choreographed the videos ’One Shot’ and ‘The Club Is Alive’, as well as our Beat Again performance at The Brits. - Oritsé
"Earthquake" by Labrinth ft. Tinie Tempah
This is one of the iconic songs we did on our ‘4th Dimension tour.’ I’ll never forget having my very own light saber pretending I was a Jedi, fighting all the JLS dancers, suspended from the roof of the arena!’ – JB
"Like A G6" by Far East Movement ft. The Cataracs, Dev
This record was an absolute club banger that we all loved. We loved Dev’s rapping style so much, that we asked our label to help get her on one of our own tracks – ‘She Makes Me Wanna’ - JB
