London’s DJ sensation Mercedes Benson shares 10 tracks fuelling her festival set at this weekend’s Defender’s Outpost stage.

This weekend, DJ powerhouse Mercedes Benson takes to Defender’s Outpost stage with a festival set inspired by the sounds that move her. Renowned for her genre-blending club edits – spanning Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B, and hip-hop – Mercedes describes her performance as “an homage to Africa, the continent I come from; a celebration of its innovation, its evolving sounds, and the way our music continues to shatter stereotypes and claim its place on the global stage.” She explains that in her mixes, she aims to play “a fusion of global sounds that journey from the vibrant bustle of Lagos to the windswept coasts of Cape Town”.
