Franco-Brazilian trio PPJ provide us a playlist of the tracks inspiring their techno, electroclash and hyperpop sound.

Povoa

‘Baile do Bruxo’ by Tropa do bruxo

With that Enya track famously sampled by The Fugees, Brazil shows how you can make something really powerful with hardly anything. So good!

‘SK-1’ by The Vernon spring

This one, because it’s beautiful.

‘12345’ by Ivy Lab

I don’t wanna go hoooome!

Wake Up City by Saâda Bonaire

This track is so sexy, oh my god! I’m in love with the saxophone, it makes me feel like I'm in a New York jazz club. I love the nonchalant voice of Saâda Bonaire, which makes the track so unique.

'Triplets II' by Sticky

It’s so good to listen to this track with your headphones while walking down the streets of Paris. Everything is so epic and romantic in this track; you feel like you’re listening to the soundtrack of your own life. I really appreciate the crossover between the sub and the violin, it’s such a vibe!

'MTG QUERO VER SE VOCÊ TEM ATITUDE' by Dj Luan Gomes

I’m such a fan of the original track from the Brazilian singer Mart’nalia, but it was so good to listen to it in this baile funk version. So far, so good, very Hot!

'Everything is romantic' by Charli xcx

Banger! I Love the contrast, the structure and the sounds! It’s powerful and delicate. Love it!

Jerge

'Sympathy Is A Knife' by Charli xcx

I especially like this tune for its unexpected chorus!

'Show Me' by Bugasmurf & Samuelspaniel

Very positive tune, a banger for me. Half between hyperpop and French touch - so good!

‘Sopratutto’ by Nicolini

If you like ESG, you will love this ‘80s trio from the Bronx, Nicolini.

'Pizzy Cat' by Jean-Luc Ponty

Always charmed by Jean-Luc Ponty, his harmonies are so pure and obvious to me.
