Swiss-Caribbean artist Pilar Vega bares it all on seven sins, an electrifying ode to self-discovery and radical honesty.
With seven sins, Pilar Vega doesn’t just sing, she confronts, confesses, and transforms. The Swiss-Caribbean R&B/neo-soul artist’s latest EP is her most daring project yet: an eight-track exploration of identity, pain, power, and the messy beauty of becoming whole.
At the centre of the record is ‘Metamorphosis’, a bold lead single that captures the heartbeat of the EP. Built on pulsing rhythms and Pilar’s signature sultry vocals, the track ascends from introspective vulnerability to a defiant, soaring chorus. “It’s about owning every part of who you are,” she explains, “even the pieces you were once afraid to face.” It’s not just a song, it’s a sonic rebirth.
Musically, seven sins dances between genres with ease, blending electronic textures, neo-soul grooves, and pop edges into a sound uniquely her own. But what sets the project apart is Pilar’s lyrical courage. Every track serves as a mirror, reflecting heartbreak, resilience, rage, softness, and everything in between.
Born in Ticino and based in Zurich, Pilar’s multicultural background flows through every note. Her Caribbean roots and European upbringing fuel a fearless artistry that’s already made waves at major festivals like Montreux Jazz and Gurten. With her 2020 debut, Women, she introduced herself. But on seven sins, Pilar Vega fully arrives.
