Broadwick Live's Silverworks Island rejuvenates London’s live music scene with four monumental shows across two weekends, featuring Michael Bibi, Sonny Fodera and more.

Set amongst the backdrop of industrial east London and illuminated by the British heatwave, Silverworks Island returned this year for four massive shows over two summer weekends. The Capital’s new open-air music destination and latest cultural landmark was brought to fruition by Broadwick Live, the innovative event management company known for creating venues such as Printworks and Drumsheds, which sit at the epicentre of our electronic music scene.

With Silverworks Island, Broadwick Live aims to present yet another live entertainment experience that transports guests from their everyday lives through forward-thinking creativity accompanied by exceptional line-ups. This year’s unparalleled roster spanned house, trance and DnB, leaving few stones left unturned when it comes to DJ programming and dance music.

Kicking off the celebrations was techno and house luminary Michael Bibi, who made a triumphant hometown return by playing to a full-capacity crowd with his signature Latin-influenced grooves. Michael was then joined by The Martinez Brothers and Marco Corola to mark a three way world-exclusive b2b that would have left any four-to-the-floor fan with a face green with envy. Chris Stussy and Ben Sterling also held down the vibes with their expertly curated selections of more underground sounds.

The next day was for the DnB heads. Sub Focus brought their immersive Circular Sound show whilst Hybrid Minds made sure the sundown set was an emotional one. Jump up regulars K-Motionz, Kings of the Rollers and Hedex were also on hand to make sure the bass was always at maximum and everyone continued raving into the night.

Later in the month, CHAOS records starlet Jazzy rocked up with house music heavyweights Sonny Fodera and Armand Van Helden to maintain the summer energy. If that wasn’t enough, Defected favourite MK made sure the sounds of Detroit were basking in the London heat. Meanwhile, Danny Howard proved why he’s still very much a fan favourite.

The series was closed in epic style by globally revered Dutch trance radio show A State of Trance. Armin van Buuren led the charge alongside esteemed peers Cosmic Gate, John O’Callaghan, and MaRLo.

The space, set amongst the landscape of east London’s Royal Docks, brought together tens of thousands of electronic music fans, transforming the Royal Victoria Dock into a sonic playground overseen by the grandiose presence of the iconic Millennium Mills. There’s no doubt that Silverworks Island has set a new precedent for live music experiences in London, bringing together immersive moments and innovative programming among some of the most beautfiul views The Capital has to offer.
