Rising pop singer Maisy Kay is evolving on the fun and fearless new single, 'Somebody You Never Touched'.

Following the announcement of her upcoming headline tour, The Death of the Party: The Prelude, up-and-coming pop songstress Maisy Kay proves that she doesn’t do things by halves on her brand new single, ‘Somebody You Never Touched’.

Conceptually, the song draws upon the common belief that every seven years, your skin cells renew, allowing you to become a completely new person. On the track, she uses this information to perform a shimmering pop hit where she emboldens herself and others to leave toxic people in the past and, instead, funnel your energy into creating a version of yourself that they will never have the privilege of meeting – how’s that for motivation for blocking your ex?

Driven by a pulsating kick drum that mimics a heartbeat, ‘Somebody You Never Touched’ reminds us that you cane emerge stronger in the face of adversity. Maisy sings with confidence while glittery synths create a lilting and euphoric soundscape. The music is grounded in nostalgic pop sounds, yet contemporary influences are woven throughout thanks to producer Mike Avenaim. And despite Maisy’s best efforts to ‘cleanse herself’ of her troubling memories, the track remains cathartic.

On the bridge, Maisy refrains “I don’t miss you, I don’t care” – a mantra we can all relate to when navigating a painful breakup. However, sometimes it is a case of caring so much that you would do anything to distance yourself from these tricky experiences. As well as being cool and stylish, ‘Somebody You Never Touched’ is anthemic and invites listeners to approach their hurt with hope, optimism, and the energy to dance it all away.
