The eagerly anticipated Sónar Lisboa is set to return for its fourth edition in the vibrant Parque Eduardo VII in April 2025.

Returning for its fourth time next April, Sónar Lisboa promises to be an unmissable and unforgettable weekend. Celebrating the cutting-edge sounds and diverse cultural expressions that define contemporary club culture, the festival spotlights an exciting group of international and local DJs from all corners of electronic music.

The first lineup announcement showcases a stellar array of talent, exemplifying the festival’s commitment to classic techno and house. Headlining this edition is Marcel Dettmann, who will present his new live set, My Own Shadow, alongside prominent figures such as Nina Kraviz and rising French star Anetha. The lineup also includes innovative audiovisual experiences, notably from Max Cooper, ensuring attendees will be treated to both audio and visual artistry.

Sónar Lisboa is not just about established names; it is also a platform for boundary-pushing artists who embody the spirit of contemporary rave culture. Renowned German duo Modeselektor will deliver their eclectic DJ set, while Gabber Eleganza introduces his ‘The Hakke Show,’ celebrating the vibrant legacy of the gabber scene. Other notable acts include multidisciplinary artist Juliana Huxtable, influential French DJ Jennifer Cardini, and emerging talents like Brazilian DJ Clementaum and Portuguese artist NOIA.

The festival unfolds as two distinct experiences: Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night. Sónar by Day, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, features three stages—two outdoors and one indoors—showcasing a wide range of genres and formats that reflect both Lisbon’s local scene and international trends. In contrast, Sónar by Night provides an immersive club experience on a single stage, designed to captivate audiences with a bold program of DJ sets and live performances.

Sónar Lisboa aims to foster a sense of community and exploration, inviting attendees to discover new sounds and underground acts within a welcoming environment. The festival’s location in Parque Eduardo VII, easily accessible by public transport, enhances the experience, with the historic Pavilhão Carlos Lopes serving as a centrepiece, blending cultural heritage with contemporary music.

With Sónar Lisboa kicking off the 2025 season, followed by events in Istanbul and Barcelona, this festival promises to be a highlight for music lovers, artists, and anyone eager to experience the vibrant pulse of electronic music.
