Refusing to bound her sensual voice, Amaarae teams up with Wande Coal on their groovy Afro-disco inspired track "Spend Some Time".

Ghanian songstress, sound engineer and DJ, Amaarae fuses her smooth silky sounds with the likes of Nigerian Afrobeats singer Wande Coal for the release of their latest collaboration “Spend Some Time”. With strong and progressive lyricism flowing right through her and through her family tree (she’s Kojey’s cousin!) Amaarae’s angelic voice layers over Wande’s rhythmic flow beautifully in this track, giving us a sensual slow jam you could replay all night. Nodding to the hazy, experimental flows of 70’s visuals, Amaraae and Wande have carefully crafted an unfocused, cinematic, lo-fi style visual to elegantly flow with the streams of this dreamlike track. Quoting on the track Amaarae comments “Spend Some Time is a humble nod to the disco divas of the 70s; (ie. Donna Summer, Diana Ross) Featuring sensual solo vignettes (a la Donna Summer’s Love To Love You Baby) and a mercurial neon club scene where the ladies dance the night away. The video brings together a group of women sharing their time and good energy with one another; They are enjoying themselves and abandoning the stresses of their everyday lives. Though it is moody and warm in its visual aesthetic, Spend Some Time is also a light-hearted and sexy take on friendship and intimacy.”
