Singer, rapper and producer Jay Das continues his musical ascent with his latest release “Stitches”.

Originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, Jay comes from a musical family and with his varying styles, he moved to the US in 2018. Following the success of singles, “Change” and “Drop Dead”, the rapper’s latest track “Stitches” leans more towards hip-hop influences.

Co-produced with Aiden Robert, Jay brings a dark, trap-inspired instrumental made-up of thumping 808s, distorted vocals and haunting synth hits, whilst the melody is punctuated by a sharp flow and clever lyrics.

“Stitches is about dealing with the psychological scars from a toxic relationship,” explains Jay. “Mental abuse is often unnoticed in relationships, and the song talks about confronting this, where moving on is the only remedy.”

The single is also accompanied by an equally classy and energetic music video created by Jay’s long-time friend and collaborator Guillermo Viera.
