Characterised by catchy hooks and slick verses, It’s A Cool Day’s new R&B track, “The Butterfly Effect” captures the excitement of new love.
It’s A Cool Day, the rap-R&B duo made up of The C.o.o.l and Day Underscore, are making their name known with new track, “The Butterfly Effect”. Told through clever lyricism and infectious hooks, it explores the excitement during the early stages of a relationship. Chill, melodic, and charming, the single is one that fans of J Cole, Labrinth, and SZA should give a spin.
The Chicago natives behind It’s A Cool Day describe their mission as to “…infect the mind, heart, and soul of listeners worldwide with their truth and integrity through song.” Now residing on the West Coast, the rappers have been recognised by music industry vet Greg “Olskool Ice-Gre” Lewis, who was the first A&R of Good Music – as well as a two-decade-plus collaborator with the artist formerly known as Kanye West.
“The Butterfly Effect” falls before the duo’s debut EP, ‘You’re Welcome’, which promises to delve further into the world of modern R&B, and was released alongside a promotional video. Following both artists lounging with their love interests, the visualiser serves up the same relaxed vibes and unfiltered optimism as the track.
