Rising star Casey McQuillen is back with another pop anthem. Telling the well-trodden tale of letting go of a toxic relationship, Casey brings a fresh but endearingly relatable perspective. Championing self-discovery through heartache, the track feels empowering and anthemic, the perfect blend for soundtracking the moment you choose yourself. “‘The One’ is a song that I believe will empower anyone who has ever needed to let go of something toxic in their life,” she explains. “It’s about finding the strength to move on and realizing your worth.”
Co-produced with renowned songwriter Andrew Dixon, the release of ‘The One’ coincides with her support for renowned platinum-selling artist Beverley Knight on her 18-date UK tour throughout October, concluding at the London Palladium on November 14th. With a packed schedule ahead, this tour paves the way for Casey’s own imminent headline tour, announced for February and March 2024.
Having risen to prominence on American Idol, Casey already boasts a career which encompasses having toured extensively across both the UK and US, as well as supporting acts including the likes of James Morrison, Newton Faulkner and Stephen Kellogg. Dedicated to giving back through more than just her music, the artist has garnered recognition from the UN for her anti-bullying concert series, performed at over 100 schools for 40,000 students.
