Pinay singer-songwriter Reneé Dominique and producer trio Bloome link up for new tropical house track “The Rose”.
Combing feel-good chords and striking vocals, “The Rose” brings topical vibes whilst delivering a bittersweet internal dialogue. This electro-pop track from Reneé Dominique and Bloome describes the story of a guy who tries to treat his woman right but in fact always messes up.
Like many emerging artists these days, Reneé started her musical journey on YouTube. The young artist has uploaded various covers as well as self-written songs since 2009. With her most successful cover, “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane, amassing over 11 million views and being chosen by Samsung for one of their global campaigns, Reneé now has over 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 210 million streams across all platforms under her belt.
Bloome is a new artist project by multi award-winning songwriter and producer Radboud Miedema and the two Roseville band members Twan Ray and Jarin Lourens. The three teamed up with Reneé to combine their signature styles into a harmonious blend of timeless, pop-infused tropical electronica.
The Filipino artist stands out with her uniquely soft and soulful vocals, which on “The Rose” are perfectly combined with an edgy touch. Reneé says about the song: “The Rose shows a grown, feisty, and interesting side of me while roses themselves stand for a girl’s delicate beauty. They come in a variety of colours – like how women come in all kinds, shapes and sizes”.
