London’s beloved nightclub, The Steel Yard, is celebrating a decade at the heart of the city’s underground music scene with a special birthday bash on Friday, October 25th.
Nestled within three beautifully restored Victorian railway arches, iconic venue The Steel Yard has become a cornerstone of London nightlife, known for its raw, industrial vibe and expertly curated events. Launched in 2014 by Regan McVaddy and Euan Johnston, The Steel Yard transformed a historic train maintenance yard into one of the capital’s most atmospheric club spaces.
“We embraced the venue’s industrial past,” says co-founder McVaddy, “keeping the original brickwork and adding state-of-the-art sound and production to bring the space to life every weekend.” That fusion of old and new has seen the venue host some of the biggest names in electronic music, from Andy C and Pendulum, to Richie Hawtin and Honey Dijon.
To mark this milestone, The Steel Yard has pulled together an unforgettable lineup. Headlining is French DJ and producer MooJo, whose Afro-house sets blend cinematic influences with deep, rhythmic grooves. He’ll be joined by London’s own Antares, the mastermind behind Konflict London, and rising star Redfreya, known for her hypnotic, melodic sound.
With a reputation for pushing musical boundaries, The Steel Yard has played a pivotal role in shaping London’s club culture. As McVaddy reflects, “The diversity of our programming is what keeps us at the forefront”, and there’s no better time to celebrate that than with this special anniversary event.
