The Nigerian-born singer returns with a taste of his upcoming LP.
After taking a short hiatus from music, Nigerian-born singer Tobi Sunmola has released the first single from his upcoming EP, Good Guys Don’t Survive. ‘Be My Lover’ re-establishes the Manchester-based beat-maker as one to watch, showcasing his ability to work with both heavy hip-hop and stripped-back soul. With a killer flow and flawless production to match, we’ve got high hopes for what’s to come.
‘The track is about love that is broken but it’s love regardless and that love keeps us connected,” Sunmola explains, and love is exactly what he’s been getting (at least within the music biz). Already a rising star in the North, he has previously teamed up with industry heavyweights including Joe Hertz and Wretch 32. More recently, he was tapped by Reebok to star in their Classic Collective campaign alongside Lotto Boyzz and Snoochie Shy. Watch this space, you’re about to be seeing a lot more of Sunmola.
