Blending smooth melodies with rhythmic beats, Luzzey debuts new track “Toxic Affection”.

Emerging artist Luzzey has just dropped his latest offering, a smooth-sailing record characterised by bewitching vocals. Told through calming bass notes and razor-sharp drums, “Toxic Affection” tackles the strains of 21st-century dating. As Luzzey explains, the track explores, “how everyone “doesn’t want to take the L” so everyone is keeping everyone on their toes – when the reality is 9/10 times you don’t want to be the first one to throw the exclusive card. It’s all a game of Toxic Affection.”

The Guyana-born musician spent his early years soaking in the sounds of The Americas and The Islands. Later, in his adolescence, he relocated to the UK and was hit by a wave of new music, adding to his rich musical background. Throughout his entire experience growing up, he was keen to immerse himself within foreign environments, lending to the clear development of both his sound and vision.

As Luzzey’s grown as an artist, he’s shared stages with some of rap’s biggest names, including AJ Tracey, Ghetts, and Kojo Funds, as well as headlining a sold-out show in Gloucestershire. Today, he’s working towards a debut project. With the aim of capturing diversity within his writing and production, he hopes to win fans over with his distinct sound and out-of-the-ordinary story.
