Tracey Emin selects her favourite of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch’s oeuvre as well as exhibiting her latest in a new show for the Royal Academy.
Perhaps an unlikely match, Tracey Emin meets Edvard Munch at the Royal Academy of Art’s most talked-about current exhibition.
It turns out Emin has harboured a lifelong love for the artist, even travelling to the same Oslo pier that kindled Munch’s unforgettable “The Scream” to create a film piece. Exhibiting 25 of Emin’s works, some of which will see the world for the first time, alongside 18 of Munch’s own, the exhibition “Loneliness of the Soul” will address this very same theme.
Promising to offer new insights into the charged, harrowing emotion behind both artist’s work, hopefully the exhibition won’t have you screaming.
The exhibition is open to attend until 1st August. Tickets can be booked online.
