A weekly playlist sharing our pick of the best new music from the world's most exciting emerging musicians. You heard it here first.

‘2000SEVEN’ by EFÉ

Supporting everyone from JPEGMAFIA to DIIV and Still Woozy, EFÉ is the Dublin-based artist that you need on your radar. Her new single, ‘2000SEVEN’, explodes with a pop-punkish energy, as she freefalls through slacker grooves and ominous synths. The music video, bursting with ‘90s references and bright colour palettes, is well worth watching too.

‘MONEY PHONE’ by HiTech

Not strictly a new single, but HiTech’s two mixtapes hitting streaming services is enough for us to celebrate their growing Detroit legacy. The trio, who infuse all corners of the Motor City’s rich musical history, are known for their rowdy live sets and throbbing club tunes; ‘MONEY PHONE’, taken from DÉTWAT, is a great place to start.

‘Sick Sweet’ by Wishy

Next month, Indiana band Wishy will release their debut album, Triple Seven Out, and if the five piece’s new single, ‘Sick Sweet’, is anything to go by, it’ll be packed with dreamscape goodness. Traversing shoegaze, pop punk, grunge and other guitar-led genres, the band capture one of their most rambunctious releases to date, all the while maintaining a hazy melancholia that’s featured on previous singles.

‘A7X’ by Lex Amor & BXKS

When Lex Amor speaks, you have to listen. Every word is used with a poignance that keeps you encapsulated in her deep lyrical depictions of the concrete jungle that is London. Featuring fellow bar slinger BXKS, ‘A7X’ marks her long-awaited return with familiarly dexterous rhyme patterns and a spaced-out, Latin-tinged instrumental.

‘Nobu’ by Tay Jordan & Jesse James Solomon

From one bona fide wordsmith to another, rarely does an Undiscovered list not feature a new single from Tay Jordan. ‘Nobu’ is extra special, though, with a steely feature from Jesse James Solomon riding the Cadillac suspended g-funk beat that rumbles below both rappers. ‘Nobu’ translates to ‘Trust’ in Japanese, and it seems the artists have every faith in each other to make a statement on British rap.

‘Attention’ by Daisy Clark

Singer-songwriter Daisy Clark is on the fence, teetering between romance and friendship, on her latest single, ‘Attention’. The entangled love story personifies her lingering feelings for an unknown lover, seemingly confused by the emotions she feels for playing a game rather than committing to a relationship.

‘Chicago Town’ by Sam Akpro

Peckham-hailing Sam Akpro brings the psychedelic sludge to his new single, ‘Chicago Town’. Floating across dream-like melodies, that meander down a labyrinth of fuzzy riffage, the uncompromising artist shows once again why he’s being dubbed as one of the capital’s most exciting new prospects in guitar music.

‘Our Daily Bread’ by MESSIAH! & MAVI

Charlotte rapper MESSIAH! has just released his latest track alongside close collaborator MAVI, ‘Our Daily Bread’, but what sets this one apart is the cartoonish 808s courtesy of New York collective, Surf Gang. For fans of Wiki, MIKE and other East Coast rappers at the top of their game, MESSIAH!’s intricate wordplay and typically soulful soundscapes make him a one to watch for the rest of the year.

‘KURAMA’ by Frozemode

After packing out the Dogtooth Tent for their debut Download performance, Frozemode are back with their third single of the year, ‘KURAMA’. The trio, known for their visceral live sets and high-octane singles, maintain an electrifying energy, rapping like barking dogs over thrashing guitars and drums.

‘You’re Not Coming’ by Shivani Sen

Taking cues from some of the world’s biggest songwriters, like Adele and Olivia Rodrigo, Shivani Sen brings her own twist to the pop game on the new single, ‘You’re Not Coming’. Fusing classical Eastern raga with Western indie sounds, the introspective artist is making her mark on London’s creative scene by being unapologetically unique, sharing poignant stories while blending her rich cultural heritage.
