Exploring queer and trans stories, the DJ’s tracks are both infectious and introspective. She will also be releasing a highly anticipated album Moving The Center, later this year.
‘Chunkadelic’ by Nur-D
‘Chunkadelic’ by Minneapolis hip-hop artist Nur-D is an ambitious fusion of funk, jazz, and hip-hop. It’s also the title track for his new album, set to release in July: “This album’s heart beats with a narrative of defiance by way of creativity, radical joy, and staying true to yourself in the face of opposition… with a sprinkle of shaking ass and getting money while you’re doing it,” Nur-d shares.
‘Anger’ by THURLBY
London-based artist THURLBY’s ‘Anger’ is a brooding indie track that explores themes of human emotion and conflict. Under his moniker, Josh creates indie-pop coming-of-age anthems inspired by personal stories and lived experiences.
‘Thinkin’ Bout’ by Szou
Somewhere between the funky sounds of The 1975 and powerful sounds of The Killers sits alt-pop power duo Szou. Their latest single ‘Thinkin’ Bout’ boasts playful explorations of topics from hangxiety to female pleasure. From their studio in north London, Szou creates booming anthems that can shake up bedrooms and stages alike.

‘face.’ is the new one from British post-hardcore band Static Dress. Comprised of vocalist Olli Appleyard, guitarist Contrast, bassist George Holding, and drummer Sam Ogden, the four-piece have been making screaming rock anthems since their formation in 2018. ‘face.’ features a heavy guitar riff and Olli’s commanding voice, culminating in a must listen track.
‘Music and Me’ by fakemink
With influences from the bedroom-rap of Drain Gang, ‘Music and Me’ by fakemink puts their British mark on Gen Z’s favourite music genre. A disorienting electronic beat pattern is interjected with heavy bass, crafting a sound that is both elemental and euphoric.
'DON'T STOP' by BAKEY, FELIXCW
Ahead of his residency at London nightlife staple Phonox, Bakey shares his latest single ‘Don’t Stop’ with fellow dancefloor maestro FELIXCW. Combining a shimmering melody with a driving bassline, the track comes as part of his debut EP Backrooms, which explores sounds from garage to breakbeats, to minimalist soundscapes.
