‘Good This Way’ by GARDENS

Ahead of their UK debut at The Great Escape festival this month, Vienna quartet GARDENS have released ‘Good This Way’, a dream-pop anthem that narrates band member Luca Celina Muller’s personal heartbreak. “Being fed romantic movies with happy endings throughout adolescence has led me to a distorted, romanticised view on love which got shattered as soon as the first heartbreak hit,” they explain.

‘I’m On’ by Ovrkast.

Ovrkast. returns with ‘I’n On’, a breezy, sun-soaked track that blends sharp lyricism with laid-back, golden-era-R&B production. The Oakland rapper’s intricate flow glides effortlessly as he introduces his alter ego, Lil Tanner, in a playful, self-directed video. It’s a confident, charismatic lead-up to his long-awaited sophomore album WHILE THE IRON IS HOT, dropping 30th May.

‘A IS FOR AFRICA’ by Isaiah Hull

Mancunian multihyphenate Isaiah Hull creates a powerful sonic statement with producer Kwes Darko on the single, ‘A IS FOR AFRICA’. The track was released earlier this week to honor the 60th anniversary of the death of Una Marson, the Jamaican feminist activist who became the first Black woman to work for the BBC. Accompanied by stunning monochrome visuals, the poet demands respect on this release and will undoubtedly get it.

‘Magic Of The Sale’ by Teethe

The title track from their album, ‘Magic Of The Sale’ by Texas band Teethe delves into the intriacies of human relationships. “‘Magic Of The Sale’ is about the endurance of pain and what you would sacrifice to relieve it,” they say. “It’s facing judgment for how you process the pain in your life and the turmoil that follows.” Fine-tuning the craft of composition and production, this project marks the band stepping into a new light.

‘Max Potential’ by Nourished By Time

‘Max Potential’ is our first taste from the highly anticipate new Nourished By Time album, The Passionate Ones. Blending jazz, punk, indie and everything in between, the single wrestles with the pressure of trying to fulfill ones own potential, as the Baltomore via London artist croons in gravelly tones over synths and moments of psychdelia.

‘Where You Taking Me Baby?’ by BC Camplight

‘Where You Taking Me Baby?’ by BC Camplight is an anthemic indie track with a groovy through-line. The second peak from his upcoming album, the track is a place of catharsis for the artist’s sobriety journey. “I know life is heavy for most at the minute, but instead of responding to that climate with mindless pop aimed to distract, I wanted to take this moment to hopefully inspire others,” the artist explains.

‘WHATEVERWHATEVER’ by Blusher

Australian three-piece Blusher have given a Y2K makeover to their signature pop sound. With ‘WATEVERWHATEVER’, the trio offer a dreamy exploration of emotional detachment. “We wanted to make something you can yell in your car to shake off the pressure and heaviness. We wrote this to remind ourselves that to truly be creative you have to let go,” they say.

‘Gbogbo’ by SamRecks

‘Gbogbo’ is eccentric and fizzes with the carefreeness of summers in London. Over bass-heavy, mutant Afrohouse and Amapiano polyrythms, SamRecks mumbles about lovers he’s met on LinkedIN and their affinity for acrylic nails. Just when you thought he was sleeping, the rapper comes back and delivers something that feels fresh and exciting.

‘Great White Sharks’ by Baby Nova

Canadian pop artist Baby Nova brings a vintage vibe to the fore on her new single, ‘Great White Sharks’. Sprinkling an acoustic melody with folky croons that feel reminiscent of Lana Del Rey, she offers a mesmerising tale of dispondency that’s cathartic and self-reflective.

‘L3t g0’ by Troy Everett

You would’ve heard Troy Everett’s work on hits from the likes on Doechii and Billianne, but ‘L3t g0’ is him taking charge of his own voice. The genre-bending track pays homage to Björk’s Vespertine, resulting in a crashing, layered sound that makes use of drums, percussive cello, and strings.
