Listen to this week’s edition of UNDISCOVERED, featuring our pick of the best new music from the world’s most exciting emerging musicians.

We’re at the point now where fakemink is hardly undiscovered. However, his underground ethos and affinity with the alternative make him a fitting cover for this week’s playlist. On ‘Under Your Skin’, the rapper’s creativity bubbles like lava, as the glitched-out jerk beat and pitched-up cloud rap captures the teenage angst and unorthodox bragadocio that’s made him a vanguard of this new wave of UK music.

Special mention goes out to JayaHadADream and Nino Uptown, who’ve released bangers in different areas of the UK rap spectrum. ‘The Bank’ is a summer-ready UKG anthem, whilst Nino’s ‘Need For Speed’ is a psychedelic road rap journey that you never want to end. Across the pond, Detroit’s Lelo stakes a claim to be the most exciting rising name from the Motor City on ‘Mourning Money’.

The playlist is stacked with new indie tunes as well. New York’s Grumpy and Rebounder show why there’s so much buzz around the city’s band scene at the moment. ‘Taste’ by Sophia Stel announces the Vancouver electro-pop artist’s sophomore EP, How To Win At Solitaire, with cascading synthesisers and drugged-out grunge riffs.

Perhaps the most beautiful song you’ll hear this week is ‘God Loves You When You’re Dancing’ by Tommy WÁ. If you need a spiritual boost over the weekend, then this one’s for you.
