As the summer presses on, we have a fresh set of new music from emerging artists that can soundtrack the rest of the season. The rhythmic head-bopper ‘Don’t Play the Fool’ from North-West Londoner Demae keeps things bright even if the weather has been a bit hit and miss. Fellow London-based artist Chi presents a profound performance in her track, ‘Psycho’ and the UK continues to encourage the sun to return with rap newcomer RUBII blessing us with the majestic and melodic ‘No Love’.

 

Across the pond, electronic duo Fcuckers switch up the pace with their frisky new release, ‘Play Me’. German Producer and DJ Mechatok links up with Tokyo-based rapper Tohji on jittery electro-pop track ‘200’ while Scratcha DVA keeps things fresh with his remix of Styn’s ‘Lekkerbek Live’. Elsewhere, French-Senegalese singer-songwriter anaiis gifts us ‘Dreamer Too’.

 

Known to most because of their TikTok presence, su i think continues to showcase their versatility on indie pop banger ‘hit me then’. Reminding us to keep the good vibes up is oakland with help from east London rapper Stacy N.K.R on ‘cosmetic’. Closing up this week’s list are fellow east-enders Tough Cookie with ‘The Countryside Is Good For You’.
