Listen to this week’s edition of UNDISCOVERED, featuring our pick of the best new music from the world’s most exciting emerging musicians.

However you’re spending your bank holiday, whether at Carnival, Reading and Leeds, a day festival or at home, look at our latest UNDISCOVERED playlist as a soundtrack for those intermediate moments. Those moments when you’re on a late-night tube ride and you need some solemn introspectivity – hello, Mark William Lewis, Unflirt and Spawner – or wake up with an aggressive hangover and crave a dose of medicinal jazz music. ‘rush’ by multi-instrumentalist cktrl can be that remedy.

Melbourne indie rockers Radio Free Alice just dropped a new EP, Empty Words, after selling out six dates across London. Next stop for them? New York, where they’ve packed out a few more venues. Elsewhere in indie, Been Stellar’s ‘Always On My Mind’ is a rambunctious addition to their stacked setlist ahead of Reading and Leeds festival.

Ashbeck is back and getting jiggy in ‘CARTISONMYFACE’, which has a hook so catchy that you’ll be wheeling it up at the Afters. The ‘00s music video is well worth checking out, too. Elsewhere, NYC-based KeiyA has poured five years of grief and anger into the powerful and evocative ‘stupid prizes,’ and Matador-signed Water From Your Eyes have a new album out called It’s a Beautiful Place. ‘Night in Armor’ might just be our favourite from the tracklist.
