Listen to this week’s edition of UNDISCOVERED, featuring our pick of the best new music from the world’s most exciting emerging musicians.

West London’s own Lord Apex kicks the week off hard. Smoke Sessions 4 finally lands in the shape of 16 tracks, varying in alt-rap swagger, and stretching his signature stories over a selection of imperious beats. Standout track ‘Vision’ sees him plotting out the long game and bouncing his idiosyncratic cadences off a playful synth loop by Hugo Chegwin.

From there, things get hazier. Unflirt keeps bedroom pop glowing with ‘Something Familiar’, a twilight lullaby ahead of her November EP, Fleeting. Duo crushed follow with ‘exo’, a ’90s radio crackle dipped in trip-hop shimmer. Pem softens the mood even further; ‘m4 windy’ drifts in with ethereal tones and alt-balladry that proves why she’s climbing so fast.

Across the water, Ireland’s music scene is alive and kicking. Bricknasty drop ‘i hope you’re ready’, a lo-fi blend of sweeping violins and smoke-thick synths. Dublin rockers SPRINTS bring urgency with ‘Need’, all tumbling drums and piercing guitars.

Stateside, Izzy Escobar throws down with ‘Vendetta’, a soulful pop anthem wrapped around a hypnotic drumbeat. Folk edges creep in this week with Mên An Tol’s ‘Alive’, lifted from their new EP This Land, where heavy drums crash against guitar-led storytelling.

For the club kids, Last Nubian rips through house and broken beat on ‘Ring the Alarm’, shifting between funky rhythms and flashes of bruk. French producer McBaise goes darker with ‘Moon’, where crooner guitars melt into slap bass and trembling synths. Public Money dials up the intensity on ‘Amulets’, a haunting storm of instruments colliding at full force. Closing the week, Lisbon duo MXGPU arrive with debut album Sudden Light, with highlight track ‘Into Flames’, burning with raw vocals and fiery analogue synths.
