‘outsid4’ by tn_490, ayrtn, Bawo
tn_490 has been making waves in underground production circles for a few years now, collaborating with Scuti, Vegyn and John Glacier, to name a few of our faves. On ‘outsid4’, he flexes his infectious vocal range around two characteristically impactful verses from ayrtn and Bawo.
‘mundane’ by cityboymoe
‘mundane’ is the lead single taken from cityboymoe’s debut mixtape, NO BALL GAMES. ‘Destination still unknown’ reads the caption on his Instagram to promote the project; this nomadic spirit is heard across its 10 tracks, as the Londoner navigates inner city life with a poetic charm.
‘Left The Trenches’ by Skiifall
Hitting us on a spiritual level, Skiifall’s ‘Left The Trenches’ chronicles his path to becoming one of Canada’s foremost music polymaths. Born in St. Vincent, the rapper does things on his own terms, constructing soundscapes from icy 808s, cinematic melodies and his unique cadence.
‘Back It Up’ by BXKS
BXKS and Lamsi continue their collaborative streak following the BAMBII featuring ‘HOLLABACK’. On ‘Back It Up’, the Luton rapper takes no prisoners with her hedonistic anecdotes, bodying the Baltimore beat.
‘2nd Floor’ by Miso Extra
Miso Extra cranks it up a notch on ‘2nd Floor’, an erratic jersey club track that sees the singer-songwriter switching masterfully between English and Japanese. Coming as part of a double single release, the tune is a gentle reminder of just how innovative the London-based artist is.
‘Feel My Face’ by Korby
In just two singles, Korby has managed to dumbfound listeners with his earnest storytelling and compelling production. On ‘Feel My Face’ he portrays a numbness lyrically, which is only illuminated by the Londoner’s slurry delivery. Comparably, the instrumentation features a shuffling drum break, vibrant guitar licks and a range of off-kilter sounds.
‘Mood’ by July 7
July 7 has been grafting hard for a number of years, producing for the likes of Travis Scott and Young Thug, and now, stepping from behind the buttons and into an artist in his own right. ‘Mood’ is the title track off a new EP, sedating listeners with its harp-infused trap beat and sultry vocals.
‘Live in My Mind’ by Uma, SALPA, Puma Blue
Uma, SALPA and Puma Blue link up for the hazey collaboration, ‘Live in My Mind’. Chronicling dreamlike thoughts over whimsical production, the trio melt their voices into a pool of delicate instrumentation, exchanging verses and harmonies gracefully.
‘juno’ by anaiis, Years & Years, Eun
Taken from the deluxe version of her critically acclaimed album, this is no longer a dream, Eun’s remix of ‘juno’, with Years & Years, adds a new dimension to anaiis’ meditative sound.
'4ever' by Cruel Santino, Len
Cruel Santino and Len are back and in their feels on ‘4ever’. The alté star and UK rap maverick have formed quite the creative alliance; this track is taken from Cincinnati Pumpin!!, a new EP from the artist.
