It also sometimes felt like I was just watching from the sidelines. there were a few instances from being on stage for the "new music award" to simply just dancing with my friends that kind of ignited something in me again and made me realize that I forgot how to live."
"Rose" by Carrie Baxter
The Ireland-to-London artist Carrie Baxter has let loose her smooth EP 'What Now'. On its title track, she says: “I wanted it to be very intimate and reminiscent of nostalgic moments between the two people. It was important for me to make the song chilled but have a very sexy edge to, evoking a sense of forbidden lovers."
"Like That" by DEJA
A very adult take on nursery rhyme lyrics, DEJA explains: “Ever been dating someone and they start moving a bit stoopid? That’s what ‘Like That’ is about. This song is for when you ditch that deadbeat, put on your sexiest outfit and show your ex what they’re missing. I’m not one to get too deep with feelings so ‘Like That’ is playful. Nostalgia from an old nursery rhyme served with that DEJA attitude.”
"Bad to Your Body" by SACHA
“'Bad To Your Body' is a track I wrote with two incredible writers Jonny Hockings and Lewis Gardiner, we came up with the concept and the song wrote itself from there! A track about feeling lust towards a love interest or partner, with bold, playful lyrics, it’s one of my all time favourite songs I’ve been involved in writing!" SACHA explains. The irresistible track follows on from her unprecedented smash-hit debut earlier this year.
"IRIDESCENT" by Humble the Great
An R&B newcomer who has been turning heads for a little while, Humble the Great's latest is a slick and smooth helping of his favourite genre.
"ARE YOU LETTING GO?" by Dreamer Boy and BENEE
Nashville's Dreamer Boy and NZ's BENEE join forces for a gushing, yearning new single. Dreamer Boy explains: “’ARE YOU LETTING GO?’ was written as a SOS or smoke signal to another person. I was very lost and feeling very far from someone I loved when I wrote this and sometimes the only communication you have with that person is not clear and leaves you hoping or longing. With this song, I wanted to express that unfamiliar and bewildering place of love, of not knowing, and the uncertainty of how the other person is feeling.”
"Say Less" by Harriis
Harriis' slouchy, acoustic, tongue-in-cheek take on hip-hop and trap is sure to leave you enchanted.
