Kat Von D opens a fresh musical chapter with 'Vampire Love', landing just in time for spooky season with a Halloween-inspired video.

Returning to music just in time for spooky season, Kat Von D just dropped new single ‘Vampire Love’ along with a Halloween-inspired video. Known for building an empire that spans tattoos, TV, beauty and books, Kat’s coming back to her first love: music.

As the first single from her forthcoming album, ‘Vampire Love’ sees the artist explore a new sound. Influenced by gothic synthwave, the haunting track is grounded by an alluring, steady beat pulling you into a false sense of security before soaring into a web of dreamy synths. Co-written by Shep Solomon – an icon in his own right who’s worked with the likes of Celine Dion and Britney, it feels equal parts haunting and romantic.“‘Vampire Love’ is a vibey, goth-disco jam about our desire for eternal love,” Kat says on the release. “I absolutely loved getting to write it with the legendary Shep Solomon. I saw the idea for the music video in my head as we were writing the song, and it was so cool to see it come to life.”

Directed by horror virtuoso Ryan Valdez and featuring Spanish artist Vinila Von Bismark and model Julien Crane, the video recalls the dance scene from Netflix’s Wednesday. From the moves to the costumes to the storyline, it’s packed with drama reflecting the song’s high-octane feel, playing out on a dancefloor under eerie midnight blue lights.
