Displaying in their flagship store throughout May, Vivienne Westwood’s corsetry exhibit is a must-see for luxury fashion fans.
A new exhibition honouring the legacy of British designer Vivienne Westwood will be taking place at their flagship store from the 8th–21rd of May. Titled ‘Vivienne Westwood Corsets – 1987 to Present Day’, the show was previously in Paris and showcases a range of corsets by the designer and her widower Andreas Kronthaler, who is now the creative director of the fashion house.
The brand will also be releasing an exclusive jewellery collection in their boutiques and online to celebrate the exhibition.
Describing Vivenne’s approach, fashion journalist Alexander Fury says ‘A woman wearing a corset today is a symbol of empowerment, of sexual freedom, of control. She’s the one holding the laces, the one constructing her own femininity.’
The exhibit is free to walk in and visit at their flagship boutique on 44 Conduit Street.
