The home leg of our summer tour.
Earlier this summer we teamed up with the lovely folk over at Estrella Galicia to bring some of our favourite artists on tour across the UK. Of course, we had to plan something extra special for our home-town show in London, so once again we took over one of our best-loved East London venues, The Woods, for a night of beats, bars and of course, free beer.
Kicking off the night was David Stewart, the singer-songwriter/ producer brother of our Glasgow headliner KStewart and a serious talent in his own right. Next up was NOTION 73 star Lola Coca whose hilarious, no-holds-barred raps got the crowd not only bouncing but howling with laughter as well. After all of Lola’s energy, we needed a minute to slow things down and what better way to chill out than to the sounds of The Beach? His acoustic-led pop soothed us perfectly and had we not been in a packed-out basement under Great Eastern Street we’re sure the lighters would have been up and out. Then it was time for the moment everyone had been waiting for, Clean Cut Kid’s headline performance. Hailing from Liverpool and adorned with one hell of a beard (well, one of them at least) the group are one of our favourite indie bands going and judging by the amount of cheering that filled The Woods, plenty of you are fans as well.
As always, we caught the whole thing on tape so you can re-live it to your hearts’ content, we even threw in some interviews with the artists themselves so you can get to know them as well. Watch it all below and read more about the tour in the latest issue of NOTION.
