Missed out on seeing Damon & co. in Margate? You can now watch Gorillaz' Demon Dayz headline performance in full.
Gorillaz’ Demon Dayz festival was one of the band’s biggest achievements to date. Taking over Margate’s Dreamland back in June, Damon Albarn and co. invited a horde of friends and collaborators to perform throughout the festival, transforming the seaside theme park into a fantasy world. For all the stellar solo performances and fun of watching characters from the Gorillaz, universe wander around the Kent town, the highlight of the festival was, of course, Gorillaz’ headline performance, which you can now watch in full via Red Bull’s Music & Culture YouTube channel.
Spanning two hours, the performance sees the animated troupe run through tracks from their latest album Humanz as well as older cuts from the festival’s eponymous Demon Days, Plastic Beach and their self-titled debut. Throughout the show, Gorillaz were joined by a huge number of guests including Vince Staples, Danny Brown, Kano, Little Simz, kali Uchis, De La Soul, Kilo Kish, Graham Coxon, Savages’ Jehnny Beth & more.
