Back for an even greener 2019 appearance, We Love Green Festival is the world leading sustainable festival using the beauty of music as an instrument to express solidarity and to provoke worldwide social change.
We Love Green, one of the worlds most green, sustainable and environmentally friendly festivals filled with non-stop fun over two days for all! Returning back to the French Capital, the festival is set to take place on the 1st and 2nd June at Boi de Vincennes, Paris with a capacity of 80,000 attendees across two days. Aiming to plant a tree per festival goer, this festival is one like no other. Within the beautiful leafy park, expect to stumble on new talent stages; hidden mini-dancefloors; art installations throughout the woodland paths which lead to the festival; new visual displays; and an optimised festival site which allows attendees to flow between stages at ease.
With more than 50 fabulous talents to be announced over 4 stages with an incredible line up filled with legendary names from Tame Impala, Future, Christine and The Queens, Bonobo, Kali Uchis, Erykah Badu, Rex Orange County and many many more taking you from dawn till dusk all in one earthy Parisian woodland festival!
Stepping into 2019 with an even better lineup, this year We Love Green are proud to reveal a vast number of pioneering sustainability initiatives that cement its position as a world-leading green event. With over 50 artists performing on four main stages, all the performers and artists will match their carbon emissions by funding local biodiversity conservation projects through the 100% fossil fuel free event, which this year will be powered by a solar farm and a hydrogen-powered generator prototype to create a memorable event in the most sustainable manner. Using 100% renewable energy power sources to power festival goers throughout the fun-packed two days, We Love Green festival aims to raise public awareness of environmental issues and hopes to inspire people to be able to make small changes through using the beauty of music as an instrument to express solidarity and to provoke worldwide social change.
With endless options to fuel your stomach during the green festival, over 50 restaurants will be positioned over the woodland forest park for both days of the festival, so you will never go hungry! With a vast range of 100% traceable, locally produced, organic food, healthy veggie and flexi food, you will be fully powered to enjoy the festival from dawn till dusk. Ensuring it is a fully green environment, all cutlery and plates are 100% single-use, plastic free, compostable and made from recycled materials and water will be served in reusable bottles from taps and jugs! Now we all know festivals are filled with rubbish, but not We Love Green! With workers on site sorting all the rubbish 74% of waste is recycled and 14,000 litres of compost was made in 2018, so we can give back to the earth what she provided us with.
The best bit about We Love Green Festival is that it is not just a place for ethereal sounds to pass your airwaves all night, but a place to raise light questions about the status of our environment and using the fun-packed two days to create a long-lasting solution. With this year’s thoughts being “What resources do we have to hand, and what can we make with them?”, We Love Green have created space for a Think Tank conference stage where this year, debates and round tables will be developed in collaboration with Le Monde newspaper, where as a green community we will tackle the theme of this year’s programme is ‘What’s going wrong and what are the solutions?’.
An environmentally friendly space for all, We Love Green are also opening their doors to lovely green children aged 3-10 years old, where they have crafted a Kids Hub space, especially for children. From activities ranging from “How to become an activist” to taking part in compost challenges and creating your own flower bombs, We Love Green have also made a little stage where kids can feel like happy young and free festival goers too!
So catch us down at We Love Green festival, to party till the sun goes down and discuss all things environmentally friendly on 1st and 2nd of June at Boi de Vincennes, Paris. Tickets can be found here.
