Here’s everything you need to know about Spring/Summer 2023 Paris Fashion Week, from the runways to the after parties and more.

The European leg of fashion week is well under way. If you still haven’t come down from London’s major moments, like Skepta’s MAINS return and Burberry’s star-studded show, then Milan may feel all the more overwhelming. Brace yourselves, people, for Paris – the greatest show of them all – is just around the corner. Here’s what to expect from the bi-annual fashion bonanza that is PFW.

There are Plenty of PFW Newcomers…

Spring/Summer 2024 is set to be one of PFW’s most exciting for a while. Why? Because Italian Maison Marni will be making its debut alongside Parisian brand Casablanca. Peter Do, who’s just released his first Helmut Lang collection in New York, will also be bringing his eponymous label for the first time.

Who Will be the Highlights?

Of course, PFW wouldn’t be the same without its Parisian haute couture powerhouses. Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and Chanel are bound to provide talking points across the week; as will Chloé, after Gabriela Hearst announced this would be her last collection. Balmain, even though its 50-piece collection was hijacked just days ago, still plans to show this season.

Honourable mentions go to Issey Miyake, as director Satoshi Kondo maintains the designer’s legacy just over a year after his passing. Likewise, the life partner of Vivienne Westwood, Andreas Kronthaler, will be trying to safeguard the rebellious spirit of the late, great designer for another season.

The Next-Gen Stars Looking to Make an Impact.

There are plenty of buzzy brands on the billing, who’ve proven over the past few years that they deserve a space in the scheduling too. Central Saint Martins graduate Kiko Kostadinov will bring his take on technical chic after Stockholm stalwarts Acne Studios makes its mark earlier in the week. Dries Van Noten, Junya Watanabe and Sacai are just a few more names we’re excited to see in Paris again this season.

The Runway’s are Only Half the Fun

You can’t talk about PFW without addressing the notorious after-parties and daytime events. This year, we’ll be hosting a collaborative party with global fashion retailer Urban Outfitters and velour favourites Juicy Couture. West London polymathic rapper and songstress Br3nya will bring the vibes live while influencer and DJ SkylerMyler spins tracks late into the night. Glastonbury-approved Vanessa Maria will also be taking to the decks.
