Acoustic folk-rock musician, Newton Faulkner, brings the festive cheer with his new EP Christmas Light, kicking off with his twist on the Xmas classic “Winter Wonderland” featuring Nati Dredd.
Newton Faulker is not afraid of pushing boundaries. Now he tries his hand at the beloved Christmas song, unveiling his new EP Christmas Light, starting strong with his rendition of “Winter Wonderland” featuring Nati Dredd.
Expanding on the EP, Newton adds: ‘My goal with the ‘Christmas Light EP’ was to make something that had all of the fun and emotion of the original tracks but with a fresh modern twist that brings them up to date. I love all these tracks and really I hope that comes across in the way I treated and changed them.’
With a mission to collaborate with newly discovered artists, Newton Faulkner enlisted Scottish Tik Tok singer Nati Dredd to bring his version of “Winter Wonderland” to life. The result is magical. The duo brings a minimalistic folk twist to the track while staying true to its heart-warming Christmas spirit.
Nati Dredd comments on the track: ‘We originally recorded it remotely but after listening again it just didn’t have enough fun in it. So a hopped on a train to London, stopped by Newton’s studio, had a couple of whiskys and we bashed out a much more fun and lively song! I had a blast and it’s gonna be a bizarre feeling hearing our voices on a song together whilst a decorate ma tree. What a world!’
