Signed to Blackout and YK Records, Wisconsin singer Partyat4 shares his debut EP ‘Wish You Were Here’.
Partyat4 is a rising male vocalist residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The singer has been faced with the challenge of making a name for himself in a place where it’s hard to capture a local buzz. Milwaukee, Wisconsin can be credited with producing some major acts in the music industry but is generally overshadowed in the Midwest by Chicago’s thriving culture, specifically its underground music scene.
Growing up in a household full of other musicians, both his father and uncle rapped and produced. Partyat4’s father always made sure to include him and keep him involved in music in some way, he later got involved in the church choir which paved the way for some of his earliest inspirations. Despite the many musical influences around him, it wasn’t until later on that Partyat4 was sold on a music career. Partyat4’s sound can be attributed to inspiration from the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne, and Tory Lanez. Each of Partyat4’s idols played a major role in fostering the unique sound that we hear today.
Currently signed to Blackout Records and YK Records, Partyat4 is a rising artist looking to stake a claim in the Midwest underground music scene. Partyat4 utilizes a melodic chorus that shares a piece of his heart in the song. Track number two, “Free Time” allows Partyat4 to slow things down, emphasizing his vocals as the main instrument on the track.
Throughout this EP Partyat4 goes bar for bar, expressing his frustration with having a former lover stuck in his head. Heartbroken and confused, the songwriter admits he still has feelings he can’t get rid of. ‘Wish You Were Here’ marks an important step forward for the promising Wisconsin-based talent.
