“All Dressed Up” is the latest divine offering from SHAI, embracing the beauty of self-love, discovery and confidence.
A successful songwriter in her own right, SHAI has had songs released by Nicky Romero & W&W, Ayokay, FTampa & Jay Pryor. Shai returns with “All Dressed Up”, a song that references quarantine and sheds light on the emotions she faced and what lessons she learnt during that dark time. The lyrics explore themes of self-discovery and self-love and pushing through the darkness despite any hardships.
Honouring her roots with her new release, SHAI uses Indian inspired drums and samples throughout “All Dressed Up”. The 808 bass enforces a robust back bone to the track.
Speaking on the song, SHAI explains: ‘”All Dressed Up” is inspired by being in lockdown with nowhere to go and making the most of a bad situation. It’s about missing my social life but making my home into my escape, even if that means partying alone. Pandemic or not, sometimes you just want to dress up and feel good about yourself, and this song tells you to do just that.”
