Emerging singer-songwriter A Girl Named Steve collaborates with Spencer Bridle of WAVES for her debut single “Alone”.

A Girl Named Steve is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter who is quickly making her presence felt out of Toronto, Canada. The creative began releasing music back in November of 2019 and started performing wherever she could to build her following. But a couple of months later, the pandemic closed things down and she had to switch her focus and ultimately her sound.

 

Debuting a new style that many like to classify as ‘songwriter pop,’ A Girl Named Steve just released “Alone,” her first single on streaming platforms. The track offers an insight into the artist’s life and her forced time spent alone during the pandemic. Something that many can relate to, the months of isolation began to weigh on the artist, and she couldn’t help but release those emotions in the form of “Alone.

 

Lasting just over three minutes in playtime, “Alone” is a happy but sad song combined into one listen. The upbeat single captures A Girl Named Steve’s impactful lyrics and melodic vocals in hopes of bringing happiness to some of life’s saddest moments. “Alone” was produced and perfected in collaboration with Toronto’s Spencer Bridle of WAVES (Ultra Music).
