Music podcast 'Are We On Air?' is back for a second series featuring interviews with Dua Lipa, David LaChapelle, Maisie Williams, Julie Mehretu, Benji B, Elim Chan and many more.
‘Are We On Air?’ is a weekly series presented by Arman Naféei. Through the podcast’s informal setting, Naféei encourages his high-profile guests to open up about their love of music and beyond.
Series two kicks off on Friday 9th April with international superstar, Dua Lipa, who discusses working with her idols Missy Elliott and “The Blessed Madonna who [she] actually met through Mark Ronson at Glastonbury.” Episode two features iconic photographer David LaChapelle who discusses Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and the first time he met Tupac. He also reveals the life lessons he learnt from his friend Andy Warhol – “What I really learned from Andy was how bitchy people are.”
“The idea for Are We On Air? was formed at The Chateau Marmont while sitting by the piano and spending time in the garden having conversations about music and culture with the regulars. The conversations always came back to music, so the next logical step was to record it and create a library of knowledge and taste”, says Naféei. “Series two presents a female-driven line-up with guests from all corners of the globe who have come together through their universal shared love of music.”
