Australian-born singer-songwriter Georgia Reed conjures up a romantically wistful evocation with her latest single, 'Back in Time'.

Georgia Reed‘s ‘Back in Time’, which is the second of three singles leading up to her debut EP in March, promises a blend of expansive and intimate soundscapes.

Described by Reed as her “rainy day song”, ‘Back in Time’ leans into a stripped-back, melancholic ambience that showcases her brooding and soulful vocals. The alt-pop aficionado alludes to a vivid picture of lost love, weaving a narrative that explores the wistful contemplation of what could have been. With delicate gothic allure, Reed’s delivery adds a layer of somnambulant beauty to the track, reminiscent of the emotive ballads of Dido.

Having spent five years on hiatus and relocating to the UK, Reed found inspiration in the rich musical tapestry of her new surroundings. Her decision to move was influenced by a deep appreciation for UK bands and artists, and this influence is evident in the moody undertones of her songwriting.

Georgia Reed’s return to the music scene marks a new chapter in her career, characterised by haunting melodies and cryptic storytelling. ‘Back in Time’ serves as a prelude to her debut EP, scheduled for release on March 13, promising a captivating blend of her signature hazy vocals and introspective songwriting. As Reed continues to carve her niche, her music remains a testament to the profound creative impact of change and self-discovery.
