Dive in behind the scenes of Netsky and Rita Ora's new music video. The duo paired up for Summer track "Barricades" melding Netsky's signature production style with Rita's captivating vocals.
Speaking on the track, Rita Ora said:
“When Netsky and Stargate first played me the demo of ‘Barricades’ just a few months ago, I immediately fell in love with the track. I love Stargate, who are incredible and who I love collaborating with, so I was IN right away! Having started my career featuring on tracks with DJ Fresh and Chase & Status, it felt like coming home. I’m really proud of the way the scene is moving right now, especially as there are so many fresh female artists coming out of it and dominating dance music generally right now! I had an amazing time filming the video for the single – working with the choreographers, dancers and Netsky to bring the track to life was such fun!”
Netsky added:
“I’ve wanted to work with Rita since I heard ‘RIP’, so it was really special to get her and Stargate together in the studio again. We wanted to make a song that really showcased the power of her voice. The song is about the battles people go through being in love. We combined the simple beauty of pop with the power of breaks/drum and bass. I want to make dance music that has honesty and emotion – I think this song is that.”
