PSA: You can now own Jennie's wardrobe - or at least pieces inspired by her wardrobe.
Following their successful ad campaign in March, CK has once again called on K-pop dream babe Jennie – this time for a pastel-based essentials collection. Titled ‘Jennie for Calvin Klein’, it’s inspired by well-loved items in the artist’s own wardrobe. In a variety of pastel hues, it comprises Klein’s much-loved underwear sets, as well as denim and fleece pieces, sweats, and knits. Kim stans in the know may recognise small personalised details on the garments, in the form of a Calvin Klein logo in the musician’s own handwriting.
The announcement follows Kim’s Met Gala debut on Monday, much to the delight of her ever-growing fanbase. In a vintage 1990s Chanel dress originally designed by Karl Lagerfeld himself, her appearance went down a treat with both her own fans and the Gala’s avid watchers. Having now been hailed by both Chanel and Calvin Klein, Jennie’s truly cementing herself as one to watch in fashion.
The release also comes after Klein appointed fellow K-pop Jungkook as a global brand ambassador alongside a viral campaign – which sold most of the featured pieces out within minutes. Next to Kim’s own campaign just two months ago, Calvin Klein’s recruitment of K-pop’s most-loved seems like strategic play – and we’re not complaining.
‘Jennie for Calvin Klein’ comes out on May 10th.
