Emerging talent Mayé shares new single “Catch Cold” and teams up with Nigerian-based record label for his upcoming debut EP.
Mayé is a singer-songwriter and producer making waves in the afropop scene and is an exciting emerging talent to add to the roster. Currently working towards the release of his debut EP via independent record label Quville Limited, “Catch Cold” sees the artist share a snippet of his evolved rich sound.
Kickstarting his journey in 2018 with two underground demos “Calm Down” and “Let Me Love You”, fast forward to four years later and Mayé is now collaborating with record label Quville Limited and producer godOmarr (TurnTable Charts’ 2022 Producers to Watch) in the run-up to his debut EP release.
Inspired by real-life scenarios, Mayé’s “Catch Cold” sees the artist explore the perils of a toxic relationship through a smooth pop R&B sound. Speaking about the track the artist says: “It’s a very catchy song and will resonate with many people, especially anyone that felt abandoned by their lover or friends because their finances were still catching up”.
