For the fourth video in our series championing women in music we present in-demand female DJ, Becky Tong.

Following in her father, Pete Tong’s, footsteps, Becky is a DJ you’ll want to see at clubs, fashion events, and your favourite stores. Her ability to pump crowds and mix track after track has resulted in a bustling career that sends her around the globe. When she’s not single-handedly spinning decks, Becky partners up with childhood friend and model Amber Le Bon. The pair – ‘Le Bon Tong DJs’ make a stylish duo, and are in high demand across the fashion and branded events circuit. The musical powerhouse is also the co-founder of Juicebox; a club night and artist development group that supports the freshest talent.

Becky’s list of creative endeavours go on and on; combining her passion for fashion and music, she is known for her engaging music and fashion-based reads in Harpers Bazzar and being the EMEA Music Director for the luxurious Starwood W Hotel. Now a fashion designer, Becky is the brains behind sassy clothing line Bad Vegan: a brand made to show veganism is neither restrictive nor boring, but in fact a freeing lifestyle.

It’s undeniable that Tong’s relentless persistence has resulted in an impressive CV, she refuses to limit herself and remains a sought-after sonic force. Personifying what it means to be a Renaissance woman, Tong is a modern-day picture of Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring – just a bit more eccentric.
