Set for release in 2025, CUPRA’s new vehicle, UrbanRebel, promises to be driven by emotion and high urban performance.
Since it was founded just four years ago, CUPRA have redefined modern engineering with a sustainable outlook on the automobile industry. Their forward-thinking approach saw them turnover multi-billion-pound profits in 2021 alone, and with a clear vision for the future, their stock will only be rising.
This month, CUPRA set out plans for a new model that will offer customers state-of-the-art electric automobile performance. The UrbanRebel concept was put to the test at the RX Circuit of Montmeló, where people could get first-hand experience behind the wheel with CUPRA drivers Jordi Gené and Adrien Tambay – who’s the current FIA ETCR world champion.
The UrbanRebel model mixes pure electrification with thrilling aesthetics, whilst naturally championing sustainability and performance. Delivering 250kW of continuous power, and 320kW at its peak, the car’s acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds is an enthralling speed that will create a quality experience for any future purchaser. It also features the Volkswagen Group’s MEB Small platform to deliver the emotion drivers crave from their cars.
Embodying Catalonian culture, CUPRA’s electrifying lifestyle vision has seen it collaborate with Primavera Sound, sponsor eSports teams like Finetwork KOI and become Barcelona FC’s official automotive and mobility partner. Defying convention, the brand continues to inspire the world with its Catalunya roots, whilst remaining environmentally conscious.
Using new materials and manufacturing processes to push the boundaries of environmental automobile initiatives, CUPRA’s UrbanRebel once again radicalises environmental engineering – offering the next generation a high-performance and sustainable vehicle. Mixing 3D printed and 3D knitted manufacturing approaches, with a parametric design, the car will improve value perception and democratise electric mobility.
The CUPRA UrbanRebel will be launched in 2025.
