Serving up a big dose of Eurodance on the chorus, “Diamonds” makes for an electrifying listen. Whilst the melody encourages a dance, the lyrics are all-too-relatable, as Alo explains that the song is about  “not wanting to let go of a love that was lost.”

Hailing from Aix-en-Provence, the singer-songwriter had a thoroughly international upbringing, travelling to fourteen different countries by the time she was eighteen. Alo brings this rich tapestry of global influences to her music, collaborating with several producers across the globe.

Noting her musical inspirations as Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Sia, and Ellie Goulding, it’s clear to see just how diverse Alo can be.

Whilst she may surround herself with pop influences, “Diamonds” is a fusion of everything Alo Wiza loves and everything she wants to become.
