Harlem-raised producer Darion Harris is never one to colour within the lines. Set on blending the worlds of reality and fantasy, his latest single “Don Juan” is the perfect introduction to the rising artist’s fairytale world.
Previously holding career aspirations as a children’s book writer, with a nickname ‘Rapunzel’ to match, Harris’ fantasies inspire colourful musical output from start to finish. Having been honing his craft, recent release “Mitsubishi Dreams” struck an international chord, currently charting on the Spotify Viral Chart in South Africa.
“Don Juan” reflects this recent success and speaks to the artist’s creative confidence. The track and visuals see a burst of colour and energy, set against witty punchline lyrics on the self-produced single. The beat is fantastical, influenced by video game soundtracks and the artist’s commitment to experimentation. Harris worked in collaboration with Evander Griiim (protégé of Gucci Mane) for this project, something that always been a dream, and you can hear this dream being achieved.
